Gym Traffic

Warning: the following text may or may not resonate with you. My advance apologies if I offend you or the gym you may or may not frequent. I was very upset by the following occurrences and upon writing this blog, I just realized I am clearly not over this. clearly.

So first thing this morning I plan on going to spin class at my gym. I pack my gym bag, grab my bike shoes-I even throw in a protein bar for a little pre-spin snack. Clearly I am ready for spinning and planning on going. At 4:00 I head out to secure a bike for the 5:00 class. I arrive to the gym at 4:25 and all the spots are taken. WHAT? Are you serious? This isn't the first time this has happened to me at my gym. (insert horrifying flashbacks to 4:50 am on a blisterly, snow-blown morning in January when little miss Jen walks into the gym only to find that all of the spots for the 5:30 am class are taken...I'll let you imagine what I was feeling at that very moment...)

Ok Snap, back to reality..I don't understand, what time are people getting to these classes? Do people work anymore? Or is their job simply to just annoy me?

Ok, so I was bummed and less than thrilled that I rushed to this class and spent the greater part of the day counting on the cardio. The real kicker though is the people that were taking this class. I won't go into detail but I will just say they didn't look "spinny"-not that you have to look "spinny" to take a spin class-cause that drives me nuts too-the spandex, the cool attitudes etc. but that topic could really be in a blog all of itself.. anyways during my 30 minute intense run (which was my attempt to mimic the cardio from said spinning class), I witnessed 3 people leave the class after 20 minutes.

They couldn't hang.. they took my spot in the class and then they couldn't hang.
