Cool idea #472
Take old parking meters, set them up on city streets in Denver and let people put change in them. Take the change and have proceeds go directly to “Denver’s Road Home."
I for one am always looking for ways to help the homeless. I don't feel comfortable giving away money to pan handlers on the side of Speer and Broadway-mainly because I don't know what they are doing with that money. Once I tried to give a homeless man an apple and he literally threw it back in my car. So this plan of setting up meters, allows me to comfortably donate money to fighting homelessness.
Pure brilliance.
